2005 Ford Falcon BA XR6 Turbo

This BA XR6 Turbo is a wonderful Australian machine which has seen value increases over the last 5 years. The owner set out to retrun it to its former glory, getting the most joy out of it in the short term, and the best return when it comes time to sell.

Deep oxidisation was corrected on the roof, bonnet and boot, whilst the rest of the vehicle receievd a single-stage polish to remove light scratching and swirls. The paintwork was sealed with Carpro CQUARTZ UK3.0 ceramic coating to protect from future oxidisation and make it a breeze to clean.

Claying "shaves" the surface of the paintwork to remove embedded contaminants that chemicals alone can't remove.

Inspection

Once fully decontaminated, the exterior can be properly inspected and a plan can be formulated to rectify.

A lowest exterior paint depth of 103 micons vs a jamb reference of 62 micons indicates a possible 41 micron clear safety buffer for paint correction.
